If you love fast and secure payments, you’re going to love Osko®.
If you’ve found yourself while banking asking ‘what is Osko?’ then you’ve come to the right place. Osko is a new way for bank transfers between participating banks and financial institutions 24/7. Say goodbye to waiting hours or days to send and receive payments. Instead, say hello to near real-time transfers and fast payments with funds available almost immediately for some transactions.
How to make an Osko payment
Head into your ING account and choose Pay > Pay Anyone. You don’t need to choose if a payment is processed by Osko when paying to BSB and account numbers or PayID. We’ll automatically process your ‘Pay Anyone’ payment within the ING app as Osko if you and your payee have eligible Osko accounts and the payment is dated today and within our limits.
When you confirm your payment,’ you’ll quickly see the Osko logo and ‘Payment successful’ on your transaction screen.
Is Osko payment safe?
Osko is backed by BPAY, so you can rest easy knowing it’s safe.
Is there an Osko payment limit?
The maximum daily limit for Osko (real-time payments) is $5,000 per account per day. Once you’ve reached your real-time Osko pay limit, you’ll receive an alert informing you before processing your transaction. You can still proceed with your transaction; it will be processed in 1-2 business days.
How to set up a PayID
Want to keep your account details to yourself, you could start with setting up a PayID®. To create a PayID, you must:
- Be an Orange Everyday, Savings Maximiser, Savings Accelerator, Business Optimiser, Orange Advantage or Mortgage Simplifier account holder.
- Ensure your contact details are up to date in online banking.
It’s then as easy as jumping into the ING app, logging into your account, then going to Menu > Settings > Create PayID.
You can choose to have a mobile number, email address or ABN for your Business Optimiser (that we already have on file for you) as your PayID.
